Merging patient cards

The "Merging patient cards" functionality from the "Registration" menu is used to merge duplicate patient cards, i.e. to repair situations when one person has been physically entered into the system more than once. After selecting this functionality, the patient search engine appears - to merge two patient cards, use the search engine, find the first card to be merged and click the "Choose" button.

After selecting the first patient card to be merged, the patient search engine is displayed again - this time, use it to find the second card to be merged and similarly click the "Choose" button next to it.

After selecting two cards to be merged, the system displays a table with the data for each card. Merging cards involves transferring (transferable) data from one card to another and deleting the card from which the data was transferred. To indicate which card the data should be transferred to, select the "attach data from the adjacent patient card to this card" option. For some data sets, the user can decide which data is to be transferred from one tab to another (unless the system detects dependencies forcing the transfer of unselected elements or prohibiting the transfer of selected elements) - for these sets, their content is visible in the table and next to each element there is a check box. Other data sets are transferred in their entirety.

After selecting the appropriate options and clicking the "Merge" button, the system verifies the possibility of performing the given merge and if it is possible, it performs the merge and if it is impossible, it reports an error.

If different identifiers have been assigned to the merged patient cards on the P1 platform, merging such cards will not be possible.

If you need to merge more than two cards, repeat the steps described above (to merge three cards A, B and C, first merge cards A and B and then merge the resulting card with card C).
