Cells distance

Distance between cells

The functionality of “Cells distance” within the menu of “Staff” allows to specify the time necessary for the staff to move between two clinics / wards od health care company or between two addresses of clinics / wards (depending on the system configuration). Time required to move from cell A to cell B / address A to address B is most often the same as time required to move from cell B to cell A / address B to address A, but in some situations it can be different (for example when moving from A to B with the different road than from B to A) and that's why system allows to define both times independently (time required to move from cell A to B / address A to B and time required to move from cell B to A / address B to A). After selecting functionality “Cells distance” there appears table, in which each column represents cell from which staff starts and each row represents cell to which staff moves – on the crossing of the given column and row there is a list that allows choice of time necessary to move between these cells. After setting times necessary to move between particular cells one has to save data by clicking the button of “Save”.

Times required for staff to move between cells / addresses are taken into account when planning timetables – if doctor works in two cells then system automatically adds to doctor working time an appropriate time margin necessary to move between cells (within the period of time reserved for staff to move between units it is not possible to plan slots in any of these cells).

NOTICE!

If the system has been configured in such a way that cell distances are defined between addresses, then with any correction of the address field in the clinic data (even typos or spaces), the data of cell distances should be updated.
